Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
